About the Kintsugi Edition:
puroBIO's Kintsugi collection is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of the same title. The title is derived from two terms:

  • "KIN" meaning "gold"
  • "TSUGI" meaning "reunite, repair, merge"

Ancient Japanese art involves using a precious liquid metal, such as gold or silver, to reassemble pieces of a broken ceramic object. In this way, the fractures remain visible but are refined, carrying a message of rebirth and beautification.

Each repaired and reassembled piece becomes immutable and unique simply because of the randomness with which the ceramic breaks.
The breaking of an object thus does not represent the end, but the cracks become a precious web and thus mark a new beginning. This makes the Kintsugi technique a metaphor for life.
Choose sustainability and make broken pieces adorable as well as valuable! We learn how to reuse and act sustainably while limiting the environmental impact in our daily lives.

Kintsugi also reflects the concept of sustainability that puroBIO stands for. That is why the packaging is carefully selected: it can be refilled as soon as the product it contains is empty.

The Kintsugi collection lipstick and palette refillable packaging supports sustainability while its elegant appearance visually enhances and reinforces the message of ancient Japanese art.
